We've been attending the Invasion for about 10 years now but only the past three with the car. In the past we'd make it golf weekend with a side trip to the show for a few hours. Even since taking the car up we've only participated in a couple of the events that take place over the full four days of the show. To give you an idea of the magnitude of the show, here's the event schedule from their web site.

Champlain Islands Driving Tour - Thursday
For those arriving in Stowe early, this driving tour will leave from Ye Olde England Inne on Thursday morning, around 10:00 AM, for a scenic Vermont country drive to the shore of Lake Champlain, where a special lunch has been planned. This is one of the prettiest spots in Vermont and a great drive over paved roads. The cost of $40.00 per person is for lunch. Lunch coupons will be provide on departure.

Driving Tour - Friday
A driving tour of the scenic Vermont country side, culminates at the show field at the beginning of the Registrants' Reception. The tour will travel over paved roads around Stowe.

Registrant's Reception- Friday 4-6pm
The official kick-off reception for this year’s British Invasion is to be held under the tent at the STOWE SPECIAL EVENTS FIELD. This event is open to all Pre-Registered participants in the British Invasion Weekend, Car owners and Vendors alike. An opportunity to renew old acquaintances and make new ones. Registration name badges are required for admission and must be worn at all times.

Concours d'Elegance- Saturday
The Concours d'Elegance is a "Judged" competition, attracting exceptional show cars; must be British, over 15 years old, and may NOT be replicas. Judging of entrants in the Concours d'Elegance competition will be based on a 100-point system, similar to the Classic Car Club of America (CCCA) judging rules. Criteria for judging includes mechanical operation, paint, interior, woodworking, undercarriage, chrome, engine compartment, and authenticity. A minimum of 90 points is required for 1st place, 85 for 2nd place and 75 for 3rd place. In case of a tie score, multiple awards will be presented. All entrants will receive participation ribbons. A special Award for the "Best of Concours" will be presented by Meguiar's.
