Picture a race track 1.5 miles around with show cars lining about 3/4 of it...........and a 1/4 mile of the front straight has nothing but the top (i.e. most historic, most noted, most rare and most expensive) cars lining it. Everything from race cars that ran at Indy and Daytona back in the 40's & 50's to Formula 1 and Can Am cars from the 70's. And then there's the older Ferrari's, Porsche's, Aston Martin's etc etc. Sensory overload to the extreme.............and my camera battery was rapidly dying. How about 60-ish real Cobra's.......not the modern repro's but honest to goodness Cobra's...........at least two were signed by Carroll Shelby himself. And then there were the Mustang GT350 and GT500's.........maybe about 30 - 40 of them........most from the 60's, but a few newer ones including three designated Shelby GT-H, as in Hertz rentals.

One thing I learned from walking the whole race track is that long uphill "straight" on the back of the track is really uphill..............and the downhill sweeper that leads to the front straight is seriously downhill. It's no wonder they call that part of the track the roller coaster.

1949 Ford Custom - I love the two-tone and the windshield visor
1952 Beetle - check out how all the interior upholstery matches.....even the door trim
1956 Chevy Nomad.... with a slight engine mod!
1953 Ferrari 166 Mille Miglia
1953 Siata 208S
Not your typical XKE
Even Skip Barber has to drive something..........Big $$$$$
1972 Ford Escort RS 1600 raced by..............
Aston Martin Zagato........in aluminum? Stainless?
Two of the six GT-40's...... these are the original 60's vintage
A little French Talbo.........
And there were two of these side by side.......
1937 Graham Supercharged.......
And then my camera battery died!
